so…they are all having too much fun

So… this is Firenze (Florence) famous for its butts, the butts of foreign tourists visiting, waiting in line, sweating, taking photographs, admiring the… statues.   Nice town, historic town, but too many tourists.

While there was tourists, my family really enjoyed the cooking school at Forencetown cooking class.  So much so that they came home and made fresh pasta & ragu, and yes it was as good as the chefs.  Milla, Ava, Josie, Austen, & Michelle can all make pasta, ragu, and tiramisu from scratch.  So for the stomach, this is a good trip. DSC_0157To keep the deserts apart, they each decorated theirs “uniquely”

for this, they each received their diploma.  Now, branson has not one, but more than 5 Italian chefs

IMG_4300of course, before a gondola tour, Milla had to check up on her status on various websites.  oh to be so chic.

IMG_4304of course, since it is July, and every 50′ there is a gelatoria, we moved 50′ at a time, from gelato to gelato is how we measured our journey. It is absolutely unthinkable that Branson has no gelatoria’s, yet in Italy I have seen no Freddy’s Frozen Custards either.  So maybe there is some cultural exchange required?   IMG_4320

And because Branson just got the giant Fork & Meatball for it’s newest “Italian” restaurant, here is Ava & Milla modeling the giant spoon in Florence.  The giant fork is possibly the closest thing to authentic Italian food on the strip in Branson, the pasta & meat ball the size of a baby’s head… not so much.

we also found some less than truthful marinates, but in Florence, anything is possible.
