We have today to clean, pack, pay, prepare, practice, and plan for tomorrow we start the journey.  First on to Chicago, IL, this 8 hour drive is worth $150/hour, as in total we are saving $2400 by flying out of Chicago instead of Springfield or Branson.  Were is just one or two of us, it would not be so much and not worth the drive, but for six tickets… we’re going to drive and spend the difference on pasta.

Much has been and more is to be done before we leave for this month of emersion, baptism by lingual, into the pasta filled sweet life of northern Italy.  I can’t say my kids will love or hate Italy, but for a family to travel to a different country for a month, to experience, abet endure a month without cellphones, let alone a near fast of English language should certainly be a memorable time.   With any luck, this weblog will be filled with photo’s, memories, experiences, and moments.
